He was the initial author of the SCROLLER MANUAL. In 1959 at the 49th Grand Chapter in Philadelphia he presented an important paper: “Fraternity Integration with College Objectives”. In 1956 he served as Chairman of the Committee on Laurel Wreath Standards and the Committee on Undergraduate Affairs. He played an important role in the purchase of the first Baltimore Alumni Chapter House. At the 45th Grand Chapter in Columbus OH in December 1955 Taylor and Donald Smith conducted an Undergraduate Affairs Workshop. From 1954-56 he was the Polemarch of the BAC and served as advisor to every Polemarch that succeeded him. During 1951-63 he was a member of the Eastern Province Board of Directors. Prof served on numerous Fraternity boards and committees: chapter, province and national. He assisted in chartering the Beta Sigma of Kappa Alpha Psi at Delaware State College. In 1947 he was appointed Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Morgan State College. He became Professor of English at Lincoln University and later Professor of Psychology and Dean of Men at Delaware State College. He had a vision and kept his eye on the prize. Taylor, affectionately known as “PROF”, was an achiever in the true Kappa Spirit. and Bachelor of Theology degrees and later received Master’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Johns Hopkins University. He was initiated into the Epsilon of Kappa Alpha Psi in 1932.
